How to attract donors

The field of public interest startups is relatively new and the principles of public interest startup theory are being created before our eyes. Meanwhile, business publications contain lots of wisdom that can be applied to social enterprises. Today's Wall Street Journal article  "The Accelerators: How to Attract Investors"  contains a number of wise tips from experts.  Among them: have a bold vision and don't wait for donors to come flocking to your ideas. You may have to put some of your own resources into a public interest project to create a pilot version before you can interest potential donors.
